As Asked, its unusual races that not many people tend to play. I like epxoring the little used roles, that why an Ogre Bard sounds good to me. Got to have an unusual history to end up like that!

I agree, playing something unusual tends to give you a great deal of room for a backstory. Sometimes I find it good to play a typical character type so the basic societal stuff is sorted and I can concentrate on creating a story for them.
