I am curious to find out how long the M/embers of the forum have been roleplaying for. This poll as with all others does not list your name with your vote, so no worries, it won't give away your age (edited for Minions of the forum)

Ill answer this with some info as well to give you a better idea. I voted 1-2 years. I had rp'd before but only once or twice and never properly, if that makes sense! It was only when i was invited to an lrp event last year by my bro that I got into it. I declined, but geared myself up for the following year, by tabletop rp'ing. I went to the event this year and it was good. So there!!!

Twenty four years behind the sword me.....I played the old classics, Tunnels and Trolls, Paranioa, Dungeons and Dragons as well as the first edition advanced ones too. Ah, those were the days, when Dungeons were dungeons and baddies were dressed like Ming the Merciless. Hmm, not much change there then!
Feel free to ask away about the dark ages of roleplay when hacking with a sword was the highest form of character progression.

*Chuckles* Well, as you're admitting your the one who posted longer Bogof, then we could probably really do with your help in the suggestions section. We hope (fingers crossed) to work out what went wrong with the various systems we have all played in and talk it through in order not to repeat the mistakes of the past. Of course, we will fail to some degree, but experienced rpers tend to put the chances down a bit....

Theres always going to be something in the rules that people dont like/dont thinks realistic/and gaps in the rules etc... A game that encompasses life needs to leave discression down to the gm as to what is realistic and such like.

This is true, but some games made some very obvious mistakes for whatever reason that could have been simply corrected by taking a little more time to think. These mistakes are already making us rethink how we could do it better and whether we have considered similar systems problems that crop up with crossover games.

Bogof, was that the first 2 or three mayfests with dave and howard running it? or the mayfests run by people before? I am guessing its the former, in which case I went to the second one, as my first event, so your Pre history isnt that far before my time
I monstered that year, And Played Woody T woodwose in following years, until he died of an unfortunate case of spear poisoning
