I would like to set up this thread to let you guys know how we are getting on with different sections of the game. I may not be able to put in full details at the moment, but I can give an idea of the progress that is being made.
A system test was held last night as it is each and every Thursday (well that's the plan!) During this meeting we discussed the character sheet and it's layout, fiction relating to the roleplay game, writing up the character creation process and the differences between races.
The results? About 1000 words of notes for fiction, the help sheet for character creation in rough draft, consensus on the advantages of different races and a couple of tired playtesters! Next update should be Thursday/friday morning for this thread, until then we will probably discuss the new developments with the testers further away and try out the new character sheet. Oh and I better get on to writing up that story in full at some point, we hope to publish some of our fiction in magazines so those interested in the game can get a feel of the setting ahead of time. I'll post up in the publications thread if I get that done.

Updates for this week:
We have got together all of the playtesters (a rare occasion as one now goes to uni elsewhere) to talk over the changes we had made to the character sheet. A completely new character sheet has been created and one of the traits has been dropped altogether in favour of combining two different ones in the magic system.
We talked extensively on the subject of magic and we feel that we have come up with a more realistic and positve system that will support the roleplay aspect of the game. We are still discussing the ins and outs of the system which may still change, but at least we are going forward with it rather than back. There are also a couple of ideas come out for designs for the race character sheets. The computer with the most information on it is in for repairs, so fingers crossed that we haven't lost a large portion of the notes.
I'd like to wish a fruitful solstice, merry christmas.... or whichever religious festival you observe -if any- to you from all of the members of the Redefining Realities team. This is our last meeting before christmas, the next one will be the Winter Solstice celebrations on the 21st where hopefully little work and much drinking of meade will be done! Thank you for your support over the last three months and we hope in the next year to come out refreshed with many new ideas to get this show onto the road.
Louise.
